Great blog, as always Peter. You can’t build a rich relationship with a coach or athlete over the internet, email, or even the phone. Face to face time is where trust and understanding are best incubated, and those are two keys to any functional relationship. And funny you should mention newpaperoholism. Most of my iPhone apps are newspapers.

I do not think that it is end of the world if golf does not become an Olympic Game. It is more important how national golf associations, golf equipment manufacturers and golf clubs are communicating golf as a game. Furthermore how they treat people in the golf course. First of all, congrats to Henrik for the achievement in taking a great title on the biggest golf tour in the world. Second; when realizing that “everybody gets punched in the face out there” I’m sure that this is the breakpoint when Henrik starts winning those big titles.

The total field was 120 players and I think the cut off point was something like +2.5, apart from the players that were nominated from the various European Golf Unions. Because of bad weather the tournamnet was shortened to 54 holes with a cut after 36 holes.
