Two finals

for English players, but unfortunately an Australian and a Netherlander walked away with the trophies this Sunday. In Spain Sam Hutsby made his way to the final in the Spanish Amateur, a championship that Sam won already two years ago. In the final Sam played the Amateur Champion Rainer Saxton who proved to be a strong opponent. Having been 7 down at one stage Sam fought back and in the end lost 2 and 1. In Arizona and the WGC Matchplay Championship Englishman Paul Casey was out against Australian Geoff Ogilvy who has a pretty impressive record when it comes to the WGC events. This time Geoff was the stronger of the two and in the end defeated Casey 4 and 3. For full results click here.
